Goodtech Products uses industrial wireless to help ELKO triple production speeds
In this application, a ProSoft Technology industrial wireless network consisting of 20 hotspots was installed in the ELKO AS warehouse, which were used in conjunction with hand-held PDAs by workers. This new order-picking system allowed ELKO to calculate the most efficient sequence in which workers need to take goods off the shelves, tripling their overall efficiency and eliminating paper pick-lists.

Modbus TCP/IP to PROFIBUS DP-V1 Master Gateway for M340 and Quantum
The Modbus TCP/IP to PROFIBUS gateway for Schneider Electric now supports both M340 and Quantum Modicon processors. The 5204SE gateway offers the new Application Communication Logic (ACL) function which automatically generates all the Derived Function Blocks (DFBs) required for cyclic and acyclic communication to the gateway. The 5204SE gateway provides acyclic pass-through capabilities allowing processor-to-slave communication, and now offers a password protection feature to prevent unauthorized access to the gateway. All PROFIBUS gateways support FDT/DTM communication when using the products communication DTM.
