ProSoft Technology's new Modbus TCP/IP to DNP 3.0 Slave communication module is designed to create a powerful connection between Modbus networks and DNP Slave devices.The MNET unit is an aluminum-cased, stand-alone, DIN rail-mounted protocol gateway that provides one Ethernet port and one Serial port, plus both Client and Server support.This provides maximum flexibility and durability while remaining a cost-effective solution for the user's communication needs.

The internal database is shared between all ports and acts as a conduit to pass information (application data, status information, and configuration information) from a device on one network to one or more devices on another network.The MNET module supports server functionality using the reserved Modbus TCP/IP service port 502, as well as service port 2000 to support the TCP/IP encapsulated Modbus protocol that is supported by several HMI manufacturers.
