Winding one hundred miles among wooded hills and across open wheat-lands toward Medford, Oklahoma lays a Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) pipeline. The midstream oil company needed to monitor a dozen locations along this pipeline from a remote SCADA center in Texas over their existing satellite network, but because these 12 points were non-critical it became cost prohibitive to do so. To gain greater resolution on the pipeline, the company utilized ProSoft Technology cellular modems at these locations for an economical and successful solution.
