Need ASCII serial connectivity to Allen-Bradley's Controllogix?

Bakersfield, CA Sept. 1, 2001- ProSoft Technology, Inc has made serial device connectivity to Allen-Bradley's ControlLogix easy with the MVI56-GSC. There are several applications where this solution would apply such as connecting ControlLogix with barcode readers, scanners, scales, printers, terminals and many other serial devices. Of course these applications cross many industry sectors.
The MVI56-GSC is a single slot module designed to reside in an Allen-Badley ControlLogix rack. The modules two application ports permit both the reception and transmission of data between the processor and the devices. Both ports are active ASCII ports, sending and receiving data as ontrolled by the ladder logic and the user configuration. The module is unique in the way that the ASCII Connectivity processor's backplane is utilized. Data is sent between the module and the ControlLogix processor across the backplane using the module?s input and output images.
