ProSoft Technology Offers DF1 Communication for the ControlLogix Platform

ProSoft Technology's MVI56-DFCM, DF1 Communication modules are the fastest and easiest way to add DF1 Half/Full Duplex Master capability to the ControlLogix platform. These modules provide highly configurable support of two DF1 Half/Full Duplex Master ports, allowing the many SCADA and field devices supporting DF1 protocol to be quickly integrated into existing processors.

The MVI56-DFM module is a single slot, backplane compatible solution for ControlLogix. The module has three active serial ports. Port 1 functions as the debug and configuration port. Ports 2 and 3 are jumper configured for direct or multi-drop field communications. Once configured the module will perform all protocol related functions on a stand-alone basis.

Applications involving the DF1 modules can be found in many industrial sectors such as water/wastewater, oil & gas, food processing, mining, and pulp and paper.
