PROFIBUS DP-V0 Slave Communication Module
MVI69-PDPS
The MVI69 PROFIBUS DP-V0 Slave Communication Module allows CompactLogix I/O compatible processors to interface easily with a PROFIBUS DP Master device.
Features and Benefits
The MVI69-PDPS module provides PROFIBUS DP-V0 Slave capability, enabling powerful data transfer capability between a PROFIBUS DP network and CompactLogix processors. User-configurable data mapping and DP port operation make the interface an easy to use and powerful data transfer tool.
The MVI69 module Configuration/Debug serial port connects a PC to the module for configuration, status, monitoring, and troubleshooting (null-modem serial cable and adapter cable included). After editing on a PC, a configuration file is downloaded and stored in the MVI69 module's flash memory.
The module can be configured to transfer any combination of up to 244 bytes of Input data and up to 244 bytes of Output data, as long as the Input and Output byte total does not exceed the maximum 400 bytes of available data space.
Applications
With the growing usage of the PROFIBUS DP protocol in the industrial marketplace, this product has a wide variety of application uses. Industries that use this technology include:
- Power and distribution applications
- Petrochemical
- Water and Gas Applications
- SCADA and DCS applications
