The RadioLinx ControlScape application provides a graphical representation of your RLX-FH radio network, allowing you to easily configure the radios and monitor their performance. ControlScape can be used to support configuration and installation as well as provide long-term monitoring of system performance.

ControlScape is easy to use and intuitive. Default values built into the software work well for initial installation and testing making it easy for first-time users. ControlScape manages all important settings to ensure that the network performs correctly, yet it is powerful enough for advanced users to specify their own settings such as mixing and matching protocols and radio types in a single network providing increased flexibility. Diagnostics are simple but informative. The status of all network links including relative strength are continuously displayed.

Functional Specifications

RadioLinx ControlScape provides a means to:

• Configure new networks and radios:
  • Assign roles (Master, Remote or Repeater) to the radios
  • Define data paths
  • Set the radio's operation parameters (baud rate, parity, IP Address etc.)
• Edit existing networks or radios:
  • Add or delete Remote or Repeater radios
  • Re-assign roles to the radios
  • Define operation parameters
• Diagnose functionality of existing networks
  • Display the status of each Remote or Repeater radio (when a Master radio is cabled to the PC)

System Requirements

These configuration tools are designed for Microsoft Windows XP, 2000 and NT. Minimum hardware requirements are:

• 100 MHz or faster Pentium PC
• 128 MB RAM
• CD-ROM drive
• 100 MB available hard drive space
• Available RS-232 serial port and null modem cable
• Ethernet port with RJ45 crossover cable for direct connection to module

or

• Ethernet hub with standard RJ45 Ethernet cable

Your computer must be PCMCIA 2.1 compliant to support the 1784-PCD card. To verify that your computer is PCMCIA 2.1 compliant, see your computer's user manual.
