When you install the AFC manager software on a computer that is running
Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Server 2003, you receive
the following error message: Setup cannot continue because some system files are out of date on your system. Click ok if you would like setup to update these files for you now. You will need to restart windows before you can run setup again. Click cancel to exit setup without updating system files. If you click ok to update the files and to restart windows, you receive the same error message when you run setup.exe to complete the installation. This problem occurs when the setup package tries to
install a newer version of a file that is protected by the windows file
protection feature on the operating system. For example, if the setup
package was built on a computer that is running Windows Server 2003 and
the setup package includes a file that is protected by the Windows file
protection feature, this problem occurs on computers that have an older
version of the same file and that are running Windows XP or Windows
2000.
To avoid this download the service pack for Visual Basic 6.0: run-time redistribution pack (vbrun60sp6.exe) from the Microsoft web site. Follow this link: and there select the download visual basic runtime - full version - single download. Follow the installation process and after that install the AFC manager software. |
