PS69DPM and PS69DPS will not work when installed in slot 1 of a 1768-L43 or 1768-L45 processor? |
Article Number: 456 | Rating: Unrated | Last Updated: Thu, Mar 5, 2015 at 10:02 PM |
With version 18 and version 19 of RSLogix 5000, and a 1768-L43/45 controller, an issue occurred that the prohibits the PS69-DPM and PS69-DPS modules from operating when installed in Slot 1 of the 1769 bus (directly next to the processor). The processor fails to make a connection to the PS69 as an I/O module. If you move the module to any slot after that (and within the power supply distance rating) the module will work fine.
This issue is to be resolved in revision 20 of RSLogix 5000.
Solutions:
1) Move the module to any slot other than slot 1 (and within power supply distance rating)
2) Flash downgrade to rev 16 of RSLogix 5000 (rev 17 has issue described in Knowledge Base article number #438 http://www.prosoft-technology.com/kb/article.php?id=438).
3) Flash upgrade to rev 20 (when available) of RSLogix 5000.
