I have a processor and Logic Manager Module with I/O in a rack. How will the CLX-422-IPC get the I/O data from this rack? |

The Logic Manager gathers the data from the I/O and processor via a UCN cell-level network. The LM does not talk directly on the I/O network. The standard migration path for the CLX-422-IPC module eventually eliminates the entire controller rack, including LM. If the data from the LM is used in a wider Distributed Control architecture, it requires pushing the control data up control layers to the ControlLogix processor. The CLX-422-IPC Gateway replaces a Honeywell SLM 621-9939 scanner module and communicates to the I/O racks through the 621-9940 Serial I/O module. |
