Is the MVI56-DH485 card a gateway module for the ControlLogix platform? |

The MVI56-DH485 module was designed for data transfer between a DH-485 network and a ControlLogix processor. This modules requires the use of a ControlLogix processor and will not act as a gateway device like a 1756-ENET, 1756-CNB, or 1756-DHRIO module. Once the data is in the ControlLogix processor, this data can then be sent out on your various networks(Ethernet, ControlNet, DH+, etc) but the module must communicate with the processor. Programming of the DH-485 devices is not supported through the MVI56-DH485 module, and a Rockwell AIC converter is recommended. |
