What is the difference between the 3100-MCM and the MVI71-MCM



The MVI71-MCM is the latest Modbus module for the Allen-BradleyPLC5 platform.
The MVI71-MCM provides a debug port which allows the user to view module configuration and status.
The MVI71-MCM provides a built-in data analyzer for troubleshooting communication problems with the attached Modbus devices.
The MVI71-MCM is field upgradable
The MVI71-MCM is based on a 16-bit processor instead of the 3150-MCM's 8-bit processor
The MVI71-MCM provides 5000 registers for data transfer (3100-mcm has only 4000)
The MVI71-MCM will support baud rates of up to 115,200 on the serial port (3100-mcm supports 38,400 max)
The MVI71-MCM has 100 Modbus commands per port (3100-mcm has 100 commands shared by both application ports)
