ProSoft Technology releases the EtherNet/IP to IEC 61850 Client Gateway
Bakersfield, Calif., - ProSoft Technology, Inc. a leading industrial communication company, is pleased to announce the release of the PLX81-EIP-61850 EtherNet/IP to IEC 61850 Client gateway. The gateway is designed to provide a fast and flexible solution for enabling an EtherNet/IP device to monitor and control data from up to 20 remote IEC 61850 servers.
The module operates as an EtherNet/IP server, supporting both Class 1 and Class 3 EtherNet/IP services. Primary data transfer is performed through a Class 1 server connection supporting up to 10 Implicit I/O connections. Additionally the module can also communicate with up to 2 other EtherNet/IP Clients using Class 3 messaging services.
The gateway configuration file is stored in an industrial SD card to allow for rapid disaster recovery. Extensive diagnostics for the gateway and for both EtherNet/IP and IEC 61850 networks are available via the configuration utility.
