What are the pin outs for the RJ-45 jack on my Prosoft MVI module? |

The pins in the RJ-45 jacks on the MVI-series modules are numbered 1, 2, 3,...8, top to bottom. Pin 1 is the topmost pin in the jack, pin 8 is the bottommost pin in the jack. You can eliminate the RJ45-to-DM9M adapter cable and wire your communication cables directly to the RJ45 port, if you like, by adding a RJ45 plug to the end of the communication cable. Since the-RJ45 to-DB9M adapter cable is wired straight-through, that is pin 1 to 1, 2 to 2 etc., you can use the same pin outs shown in the user's guide to determine what pins to use in the RJ45 connector...they will be the same pin numbers as are used in the DB9M.
