Although all of the HART modules from ProSoft are shipped with a 1k resistor, on networks of more than 1 device, you may need to change the value of the resistor to keep the current value of the HART network within specifications. A resistor will need to be a value between 250 ohms and 750 ohms when placing more than one HART device on a given channel of the HART module. This resistor value can change based on type and number of devices. Generally speaking as you place more devices on a given HART channel, you will need to decrease the value of the resistor on the line.
