ProSoft Modbus communication modules allow Rockwell Automation processors to interface easily with Modbus-compatible devices and hosts found in nearly every industry. ProSoft provides a single communication source for Modbus communication across all Rockwell Automation platforms. Two communication ports supporting RS232, 422, or 485 offer the user application flexibility. The module can be used as a Master on both ports to poll data from two independent Modbus networks.

ProSoft Modbus TCP/IP communication modules are used to integrate and bridge Rockwell controller networks with Modicon TCP/IP networks using client server functions supporting up to 5000 I/O registers. The module supports up to 20 total server connections, and a single client supports 100 commands to multiple network servers. All of the Modbus TCP/IP products are equipped with Personality storage modules (Compact Flash) allowing for module configuration storage and quick plug-n-play product replacement.
